I’m on my quest to find the best iPhone 5s case, and this case might take that honor. This is the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case for the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5. I got this case on Amazon for a very good deal. If you click the link above that will take you to this product page on Amazon. You can get this case for $10 with free shipping right now. It’s a very affordable case that also comes with good protection (and looks good too.) The Spigen Ultra Hybrid case fits the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5. Now let’s take a look at the case itself.

It comes in 2 colors: gray and black. They call it the hybrid because it’s a mix between a regular bumper and a full case. It has a hard clear plastic backing but also comes with good protection that you would expect from a regular full case. It also has the minimalistic feel and small form factor of a small bumper. Let’s look at the rest of the accessories that come in the box. It comes with an original authenticity serial number ticket, a small instruction sheet that reminds you to take off the plastic sheetings on the front and back of the case. It also comes with a free ultra crystal clear screen protector, which is optional. Last but not least it comes with 2 free graphic design templates that you can put on the inside of the case to add some flair and flavor to your case. You can also order more graphic design templates from Spigen or you can even make your own. So that’s a nice little customizable feature there with the Spigen case.

Now let’s put this case on my iPhone 5s and I’ll show you what it looks like and how it feels. Put in your button-side first. It snaps right on there. The case goes on very easily. On the side it has an open space for your vibrate switch so you have easy access to that. It has protection for your volume controls. On the top it has protection for your power button. On the other side it has the Spigen logo. It has the cutouts for your headphone jack, microphone, lightning connector, and speakers. On the back it has that hard clear plastic backing. The cutout for the camera gives enough room for the new True Tone flash dual LED setup that the new iPhone 5s has. The case does not affect the flash at all.

Here are the things I like most about this case. The buttons are easy to press. You don’t have to add any additional force to press the buttons through the case. It gets very tactile and responsive feedback from the buttons when you press them. It has surface protection. The case raises up just enough in the front so you can lay the phone face down on a surface without damaging the screen. It has the same feature on the back so you don’t scratch up or get any smudges on the clear plastic. Also on the outside of the bumper it’s built with air cushion technology on all four corners. It’s supposed to handle the impact of drops very well.

The case is made from thermoplastic polyurethane so it feels good in the hands. It’s sleek but not slippery and provides pretty good grip. It’s not sticky like rubber. The cutouts for the ports and buttons are very precise. The bottom is very slim so it can fit third-party accessories like docks. Overall I think this is a fantastic iPhone 5s case. It’s perfect for people who don’t want to add bulkiness to their iPhone. It’s very slim, very sleek, minimalistic, and allows the back of the iPhone to be shown through the clear plastic backing. It offers very good protection for how small it is so you can you can drop it without worrying. It handles small to medium drops very well. You probably don’t want this if you’re going to be dropping it a lot from long distances, but for most people this will provide enough protection to keep your iPhone 5s or iPhone 5 safe. I hope you enjoyed my review over the Spigen Ultra Hybrid iPhone 5s case!

Apple iPhone 5s Review: New Features & Should You Upgrade?

Apple iPhone 5s Review

New Features + Should You Get It?

Click here to order an unlocked iPhone 5s

iPhone 5s Introduction

This is my full in-depth iPhone 5s review. Externally the iPhone 5s looks almost exactly the same as the iPhone 5. It’ s sporting the same aluminum-style shell with the microphone, speaker, and Lightning connector at the bottom. The same 4-inch 1136×640 Retina display and the same 1.2 Megapixel front facing camera. It also has 4G LTE support and comes in the same storage capacities: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB.

Speed & Performance

The speed of the iPhone 5s is blazingly fast thanks to the new 64-bit A7 processor. If you own an iPhone 4S or earlier iPhone you’ll be immediately captivated by the quickness of the 5s. Even iPhone 5 users will notice the speediness as the iPhone 5s claims to double the 5’s CPU and graphics performance. I’ve noticed a huge speed increase in app launching and loading, multitasking management, taking photos, even shuffling songs seems even more instantaneous. Playing games is definitely a treat on the 5s. When put to the test, the 5s came out ahead in nearly every benchmark test. As of right now, according to the benchmarks, it’s safe to say the iPhone 5s is possibly the fastest smartphone available.

Battery Life

The iPhone 5s does not have a magical new everlasting battery that we all dream about, but it shows no decrease in battery life either. Apple says it can get up to 10 hours talk time, 10 days on standby, 40 hours music playback, or 10 hours video playback on a single charge. I’ve concluded that the standard “daily overnight charge” is still needed. On a regular day I can wake up with 100% and make it through 16 hours and by bedtime have anywhere from 10% to 20% remaining. Battery life does have a slight increase thanks to the M7 coprocessor taking some of the load off of the main chip.

Camera

The iPhone 5s camera is a huge improvement & does take some awesome photos and videos. It’s still an 8 megapixel camera, but each pixel is bigger, and the sensor is larger as well. The aperture was increased to 2.2. That along with the new dual LED flash improves the quality of photos in low-light conditions. Also new is image stabilization, and burst mode. A cool new video recording feature is the slo-mo feature which captures video in 720p HD at 120 frames per second and allows you to slow down the whole video or a certain portion. Overall, the new camera can produce stunning photos and HD videos.

Touch ID

The most talked about feature of the iPhone 5s is the new fingerprint sensor called Touch ID. The fingerprint scanner is built into the all new redesigned home button. It takes about 20 seconds to set up a new fingerprint. As of right now the authorized fingerprints can be used to unlock the device and make iTunes and App Store purchases. Overall, I think the Touch ID feature improves the user experience more than being a gimmick.

iOS 7 Software

A match made in heaven. That is the best way to describe the iPhone 5s and the new iOS 7 software. The general layout is the pretty much the same as iOS 6, but now there are brand new designs, icons, colors, fonts, gestures, and animations. The new multitasking is very fluid on the 5s. Spotlight search is the quickest I’ve ever seen it, and Siri seems snappier as well. iOS 7’s makeover includes new animations and parallax 3D effects. The new Control Center adds a much-needed feature to iOS 7, giving quick access to popular settings and apps that make the user experience more efficient. iTunes Radio is a nice feature as well, allowing you to create your own music stations. So from what I can tell, the iPhone 5s and iOS 7 were meant to be together.

Conclusion

If I had one word to describe the iPhone 5s it would be: delight. It’s a delight to use this phone, with the power it has paired alongside iOS 7. So the question is should you get it? If you own an iPhone 4S or earlier, yes I would highly recommend getting the iPhone 5s. If you’re an iPhone 5 user, I wouldn’t recommend upgrading to the 5s unless you’re a hardcore camera lover or have the need for speed. iPhone 5 users should probably stick it out and wait for the iPhone 6 or if you want a bigger screen you’ll probably want to switch to Android. With its new power and speed, its new camera and fingerprint sensor, and new software design, the iPhone 5s is a fantastic smartphone.

How to Download Free Music on iPhone, iPad, iPod – Free MP3 App

How to Download Free Music on iPhone, iPad, iPod

In this video you’ll learn how to download free music directly to your iPhone, iPod, or iPad without using a computer or jailbreaking. First, go on your iOS device and open up the App Store and search “free music”. You should see a list similar to this. The app that you want is a free app called MP3 Music Downloader Free by Webtechies. Tap on that and install it. Once it’s installed open up the Free MP3 icon, and you’ll see the homepage.

This is the home screen for the free MP3 music downloader app. This page gives you a list of resources for this app: how to use it, general questions, etc. If you want to go right into downloading free music it gives you some free legal music sites on the homepage. If you tap on Last.fm it brings up the Last.fm website which is a popular music website where you can download free legal music. You can search for a song or artist. Or just download a song right from the homepage. Tap on the Free MP3 button and you’ll see a window pop up asking if you want to download, open, or copy the link. You want to download the MP3 for free so just tap the red Download button. It’ll ask you to enter the song name. You can leave it the same if you want.

The free song download will start. You can go to your Downloads section and see it downloading. After it’s finished downloading you can tap it to start playing it with the audio player. But what if you want to download a free MP3 that’s not listed on Last.fm or any of the other free websites that it lists on the homepage? Well, you can go up to Google search and just search the artist name + the song name + “MP3” at the end. The first couple of search results are going to be an MP3 of that song that you should be able to download for free.

Any of the first few links should take you to an MP3 website. Find an MP3 result that has high bit-rate quality and has the correct song length. Then just tap the Download button. If the same windows from earlier pops up then you know it’s a downloadable MP3 file. Download and name it. That’s basically how you use this free MP3 app to download free music right from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod. You can add/edit playlists with this app as well. Any music that you download with this app you can play straight from within this app with its built-in audio player.

Apple iPhone 5s Unboxing – Hands On & First Look!

Official Apple iPhone 5s Unboxing – Hands-on & First Look!

It’s September 20th, 2013 and I just got back from the AT&T store. This is an official unboxing video of the new Apple iPhone 5s. They already took the plastic off of the box, but I put everything back in there as perfectly as I could so I could do this unboxing for you. Let’s take a quick look at the outside of the box. On both sides it says “iPhone 5s”. On the front there is the image of the iPhone 5s itself. I have the space gray color. It also comes in two other colors, gold and silver which both have white faceplates while the space gray has a black faceplate.

So once we open the box you’ll see the new iPhone 5s. I wish my screen could stay as smooth and clean as it is when the plastic is taken off for the first time. That’d be awesome, right? There you have it folks. That’s the 32GB space gray iPhone 5s unboxing. Let’s do a quick hardware overview over the iPhone 5s itself. The new redesigned home button is sporting the new Touch ID fingerprint sensor. On the bottom it has the microphone, headphone jack, Lightning connector, and speaker. On the left side we have the volume buttons and the vibrate button. On the top we have the sleep/power button as always. On the back there is that new iPhone 5s HD camera with the new dual LED flash. The 720p FaceTime camera is of course on the front. iOS 7 is installed.

Now let’s take a look at the other accessories in the box. We have the Apple Earpods with the microphone and volume controls. It also comes with the Lightning to USB connector. I hate cords don’t you? I wish everything would go wireless already. Last but not least we have the power adapter to charge it. So that is a quick unboxing and first look at the new Apple iPhone 5s, the space gray version. Make sure you subscribe to this channel so you are notified when I upload more videos over the new iPhone that are coming very soon.

iPhone 5s Preview: Top 3 Best Features

#3: The New A7 & M7 Processors

Kicking off this list at #3 are the new processors. The A7 and the M7 chips are going to make the iPhone 5S very fast and snappy. The new A7 chip gives you CPU and graphics performance up to 2x faster than the previous A6 chip. The new A7 processor also makes the iPhone 5S the 1st 64-bit smartphone in the world. iOS 7 was built specifically for 64-bit, which will take advantage of this new A7 chip. The A7 also delivers very detailed graphics and complex visual effects. This will definitely improve the iPhone gaming experience and make it more realistic. iOS 7 also takes advantage of the new image signal processor built into the A7 chip to give you up to 2x faster autofocus, faster photo capture, and higher video frame rates. The new M7 coprocessor measures motion data from the accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass — and it’s more efficient at it than the CPU. Apps that track physical activity can access that data directly from the M7 processor, which will use less battery power. The M7 knows when you’re walking, running, or even driving. So you’ll see a lot of fitness and health apps taking advantage of this new M7 processor. So that is #3 – the new A7 and M7 processors.

#2: Touch ID

The #2 feature I’m most excited for on the iPhone 5S is Touch ID. Now Touch ID is the name Apple gave to the iPhone 5S’s new home button, which is now equipped with a fingerprint identity sensor. That sexy ring. Instead of having a passcode on your phone you can simply place your finger on the home button, in any direction, and your iPhone will unlock. This is a faster, easier, and more futuristic way of unlocking your iPhone. It’s convenient and more secure. Not only can it unlock your phone, but the fingerprint sensor can also approve purchases from the iTunes Store, the App Store, and the iBooks Store, so you don’t have to enter your Apple account password anymore. Thank goodness. Touch ID also lets you have multiple fingerprints authorized so it works well with people who share a device. So that is #2 – the new Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

#1: The New iSight Camera

Coming in at #1, the best feature of the iPhone 5S that I’m most excited for is the new iSight camera. That’s right. Even though there are other smartphones on the market that have better specs than the iPhone 5S camera, it got a serious upgrade and looks like it will produce some awesome photos and videos. The iPhone 5S camera has a state-of-the-art sensor that increases the area available for pixels by 15 percent. Apple also increased the size of the pixels and aperture. Now the aperture is at 2.2 to let in more light. The iPhone 5S also has a new feature called True Tone flash, which is essentially 2 LEDs, one white and one amber. These 2 LEDs are used to determine just the right percentage and intensity of white light versus amber light needed, which results in more true-to-life colors, better highlights, and more natural-looking skin tones. The 5S also has faster photo capture and faster autofocus. The faster sensor also makes burst-mode possible, which is useful when your subject is in motion. Burst-mode continuously captures 10 photos per second. The software then analyzes all the shots in real time and selects the best ones. The new camera supports auto image stabilization which removes noise and blurriness. The new slo-mo feature lets you capture video at 120 frames per second in 720p HD. When you’re done, you can select the portion that you want to slow down, and that clip plays back at quarter speed. And the pinch-to-zoom feature we’re all used to doing when taking pictures now works when recording video in iOS 7. So that is my top iPhone 5S feature – the new iSight camera and all its functionalities.
